Join us for an informative and enjoyable evening walk through the world of ferns and gymnosperms – plants that thrived on Earth long before flowering plants appeared. The walk will explore the diversity of ferns and gymnosperms such as conifers and cycads, ancient plant groups with fascinating evolutionary histories and remarkable adaptations to different environments. This walk is part of the Botanical Garden’s educational program and is suitable for all ages – whether you're a plant enthusiast, nature lover, or simply curious about the “green giants” of the past. The walk begins at the main entrance of the Botanical Garden. Please note: the walk will be conducted in Icelandic. Free participation – everyone is welcome!
