LSR offers an ice skating school as in recent years. The courses will be in June and August for all kids aged 6 to 11 years (2019-2014). The location of the courses is in the Ice Rink in Laugardalur. The courses consist of: Instruction in basic skating and safety issues. Introduction to the basics of figure skating. Warm-ups, stretching, and endurance exercises take place in indoor and outdoor play. The summer skating school is half a day from 08.45 – 12.00 or at 13.00 – 16.15. Courses are also available all day from 08:45 – 16:15. NOTE! The children need to bring warm clothes and mittens for the ice age and healthy packed snacks. They need to be dressed for the weather because they go for walks and games indoors and outdoors. (Note that those who are there all day also need to bring a lunch pack.)
