KE&PB is a collaboration between graphic designers Katla Einarsdóttir and Patrekur Björgvinsson. They met while studying at the Iceland University of the Arts and graduated in 2022. They share an interest in folk culture, craftsmanship, and the material culture of the home. Together, they have worked on various graphic design projects, most recently Skraf, an alphabet system based on traditional Icelandic weaving patterns. During their residency at the Museum of Design and Applied Art, KE&PB will continue to develop Skraf and explore how the patterns can connect with the context of the kitchen.
