Concert in Edda On Saturday, April 5th, the vocal ensemble Cantores Islandiae will perform excerpts from Þorlákstíðar in the Edda as well as songs from Icelandic and European manuscripts from the 15th century in honor of the Virgin Mary. Both Þorlákur Þórhallsson, Bishop of Skálholt, and Mary played very important roles in the religious life and daily life of Icelanders during the Middle Ages and up until the Reformation. The concert will start at 3:00 PM. No admission fee, and everyone is welcome.
