Blátt Gras is a music band from the Faroe Islands that has been frequently heard live and on radio stations. The band performs in Kaldalón Music Hall in Harpa on Reykjavík Culture Night. Entrance is free and everybody is welcome as long as there is space. The concert is from 17:15 - 17:45. The concert is organized by the Embassy of the Faroe Islands in Iceland in collaboration with Harpa. 🎉 Blátt Gras is a music band from the Faroe Islands that has been frequently heard live and on radio stations. The band’s distinctive Americana style is influenced by bluegrass, a genre originally from the southern United States. Particular characteristic is the acoustic sound and multi-voice harmonies. Their performances are often lively and marked by a sense of playfulness. Blátt Grass has released three albums: Ávegis (2014), Framvegis (2018) and Veðurmaðurin (2025). All albums have sold well and received excellent reviews. The band members are Richard Johansen (drums), Terje Johannesen (vocals, guitar, mandolin, banjo), Johan Mikkelsen (vocals, guitar), Jarnhold Nattestad (bass), and Bjartur Johannesen (vocals, piano, accordion, washboard). Songs and lyrics are written by band members.
