Students work with a variety of materials and methods and learn about traditions and anatomy. The course introduces students to the magic of minerals and the origins of materials. They make books, experiment with colors and tools for their own artistic creation. The projects that will be assigned are based on the fundamentals of visual art such as line, color, texture, light and shadow and work on projects in two and three dimensions. Emphasis will be placed on scope for experimentation and space for students' own discoveries and free flow. It is a good idea for children to come dressed for the weather as part of the lessons will take place outdoors if weather permits.
