The Reykjavík Maritime Museum offers a guided tour in Icelandic sign language on Sunday, 9 October at 13:00. The guided tour is about the museum's permanent exhibition Fish & Folk - 150 years of fisheries, which is both informative and fun for all age groups. The exhibition is about the history of the Icelandic fisheries, from when rowing boats gave way to large fishing vessels in the late 19th century through to the 21st century. This rich history is told from the perspective of Iceland's biggest fishing port, Reykjavík.
Everyone that speaks sign language is welcome as long as space permits. The guided tour is free of charge. Many languages of Historu is part of the joint project: Let's join hands together, organized by the Reykjavík City Museum and Reykjavík Art Museum. The project received a grant from the Icelandic Museum Fund.
