Who has access to resources in our society? How does trust and social bonds influence our democracy? How do we create a society that is open to all, where no one is left behind - a society based on equity and secures wellbeing of everyone? Do we trust our governments to respect our basic rights, democratic processes and our public health?

We invite to an open conversation between the citizens and community of researchers on social capital, trust and civic participation. We ask how can be build a society were access to resources and participation of all is guided by equity considerations?

The library is a unique indoor public space. It is a place where we do not have to justify our being, it is a democratic venue where you can simply be as you are and participate in shaping it. At the library we have the chance to step out of our framed realities, connect with others and share information and knowledge across social groups in a trusted environment.

At the meeting researchers introduce their findings on:
- Diversity, communication and intercultural during times of social change. Cross disciplinary approach on communication, resilience, access to resources in a society for all.
- Innovation and contribution to public policy making in a liberal democratic society.
- Populism, political leaders and their role in guiding through social crises.
Discussions will be on each topic and put in the context of the results of democracy lab of the project PaCE that took place in January in Iceland.
