Author Ásta Sigurðardóttir was a legend in the city of Reykjavik during the middle of the century. She was unafraid of speaking her mind and she was often recieved with bias and hardness. Her life was not easy but her legacy she leaves behind is a story of a courageous woman with hope in her heart.
The National Theatre is working on a theatre piece based on Ásta's life, directed by Ólafur Egill Egilsson. He will guide us through a literary walk in Ásta's paths through Reykjavík.
Evening walks are a series of events organized by Reykjavík City Library, Reykjavík City Museum and Reykjavík Art Museum. The walks take place on Thursday evenings during the summer months. They start at 20h00 from Borgarbókasafn Grófin, Tryggvagata 15, unless otherwise stated.
