Bernhöftsbakarí

Icelands first and oldest bakary, a small family owned business founded on 25. september 1834.

Not only is it the oldest bakery, but it is also Icelands oldest company. Bernhöftsbakarí is the winner of the "Cake of the Year 2011" contest here in Iceland. The cake was made with Icelandic ingredients such as Skyr, butter and cream. Bernhöftsbakarí is proud to still produce traditional Icelandic baked goods in its small artistian bakery, where everything is made by hand.
