Two new photo exhibitions open at the National Museum of Iceland 16 January

Saturday 16.January two new photo exhibitions will open at the National Museum of Iceland. At the Photo Gallery the exhibition Breeze where black and white landscape photographs by the contemporary photographers Claudia Hausfeld, Daniel Reuter, Joakim Eskildsen, Kristín Hauksdóttir and Lilja Birgisdóttir along with photos from the National Museum's photographic collection by Arngrímur Jónsson (1889-1965) and Sigurður Tómasson (1895-1980) will be on display. The curator is Katrín Elvarsdóttir. On the Wall photographs by the Canadian Photographers Annie Ling will be shown in a exhibititon called Independant mothers as it shows single mothers in Iceland. These two exhibtions will be on display until 28.February.

On the 3rd floor of the museum photos and objects from Ittoqqortoormiit, Greenland form the exhibition North in the north.
