Reykjavík Jazz Festival starts today

The Reykjavík Jazz Festival starts today, 10 August at Harpa Concert Hall for the 27th time and is on until 14 August. The annual Jazz Parade which is today is not to be missed.
The Reykjavík Jazz Festival starts today, 10 August at Harpa Concert Hall for the 27th time and is on until 14 August. The annual Jazz Parade which is also today is not to be missed.

As always the festival reflects the broad spectrum of jazz and everybody should be able to find something to their liking. The festival welcomes International stars such as the Bobo Stenson Trio from Sweden, Gilad Hekselman Trio from New York and Pascal Schumacher from Luxembourg. 
 
Icelandic jazz artists in international collaborations play a large role at this year’s festival as well as artists celebrating new releases.  Events free and open to the public include 5pm Happy Hour and late night jam sessions on the Budvar Stage, two lectures on Saturday at Kaldalón and a family focused program Saturday afternoon at Budvar Stage.
 
Festival passes, single day passes, as well as tickets to select individual events are available.
