Reykjavík is at the Forefront in Sustainable Energy Usage

Reykjavík, the capital city of Iceland is surrounded  by hot springs which produce heated water. This has given Reykjavík a means to cleanly and efficiently produce electricity and heat for their homes and buildings.  95% of the buildings in the Reykjavík area use geothermal heating, which is a renewable energy source that limits carbon dioxide emissions. This brings Reykjavík to the forefront in sustainable energy usage.
