During Iceland Airwaves, Reykjavík Art Museum offers guided tours through the exhibitions in Hafnarhús, one of the main venues of the festival. On view at the museum are new works by two Lithuanian artists: Creature by Tomas Martišauskis and the installation Fountains by Zilvinas Kempinas. Both artists work in striking ways with material and media and their artworks exhibit an interesting view on the sculpture as an form of art. Also on view at the museum is the exhibition Icelandic video art from 1975 – 1990 showing works of video art by Icelandic artists, most of which were first shown in Iceland in the 1980s. The exhibition also shows Icelandic music videos from the 80s, for example by the Sugarcubes, which should interest music enthusiasts especially.

During the festival, Airwaves Ticket Holders get 20% discount of museum admission. Admission is valid on the same day for Hafnarhús, Kjarvalsstaðir and Ásmundur Sveinsson Sculpture Museum.

The guided tours start at 1 p.m.
