Visit Reykjavík manages five of the largest festivals in the city each year. The winter Lights Festival in February celebrates the darkness with a programme which is a mixture of art and industry, environment and history, and sports and culture. The Children´s Cultural Festival in April is an arts and culture festival dedicated to children, which had 40,000 participants last week. Culture Night in August is the biggest and most popular festival in Iceland offering a cross-section of all things culture, with a host of events ranging from musical performances to exhibitions of art and architecture. The Imagine Peace Tower on Videy Island is lit each year in October in collaboration between Yoko Ono, the City of Reykjavik, Reykjavik Art Museum and Reykjavik Energy. The Advent Festival starts each year on 27 November with displays of enchanting Northern Lights, thirteen Santa Clauses (Yule Lads), Christmas markets, and culture.
