The last week of the Santiago Sierra exhibition

The Santiago Sierra exhibition at Reykjavik Art Museum Hafnarhúsið will finish on Sunday April 15. The exhibition has received great reception and attendance so don´t miss the chance to see the exhibition this week.

The Antoni Tápies exhibition, Image, Body, Pathos, at Kjarvalsstaðir is on display until May 20th. The exhibitions shows paintings from more than seven decades of the impressive creative oeuvre of the  artist. When Antoni Tàpies (1923–2012) died earlier this year at age 88, he was hailed as "the last great artist of the 20th century." The claim is based on the decisive influence of his “material paintings” on the development of contemporary art. His use of sand, cement, paste, granite dust and found objects of every-day use has inspired generations of artists and changed the way they think about painting.

The Iceland Academy of Art graduation exhibition will open Sunday April 21.
