Description: Old News is a project about information, media and recycled, reprinted news. It is a non-profit newspaper presenting a selection of articles, images and words taken from newspapers. Old News is a second-generation, copyright-free paper. The Old News newspaper is handed out for free during the exhibition at The Living Art Museum.
Old News is a non-profit project presenting a selection of articles, images and words. Cut-outs from newspapers, set up in a new context by selected individual artists for the purpose of redistributing the news. Old News is a second-generation, copyright-free newspaper.
The project was initiated in 2004 by Danish curator Jacob Fabricius, director of Malmö Kunsthalle in Sweden. He has invited a number of international artists to do a specific work for each newspaper.
Old News exhibitions have previously been presented at 10 art museums/cultural centers, such as at Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions, Cneai, Chatou, France, Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil, México City, CCA-Centre for Contemporary Art, Lagos, Nigeria and Malmö Konsthall, Sweden
