Description: Advertisement and industrial photography from the Reykjavik Museum of Photography´s collection. Selected prints from the exhibition „Life isn´t just a game – it´s also a bed roses“ which was on view at the museum summer 2009.

Photographs by:
Pétur Þorsteinsson  (1936 – 1993)  Period: ca. 1960 – 1980. First and foremost a commercial/industrial photographer. Photographed extensively in Klúbburinn and Hótel Saga in its early years, also trade fairs and for car dealerships.
Óli Páll Kristjánsson (1928 – 1978) Period: 1954 – 1972. Worked mainly as a portrait photographer. Ran a photographic studio at Freyjugata and later on Laugavegur. Photographed  extensively for Vikan magazine and was the main photographer of the National Theatre in Iceland for a long while.
